We were attending the Emergency Services Show in September and were approached by a company we work with, Clan Tools about providing a manikin for a demonstration with Vetter GmbH.
Vetter has produced pneumatic rescue equipment and tents for fire services and medical services throughout the world, since the 1960s. At the Emergency Services Show they were demonstrating a safety cushion they manufacture and needed a manikin to drop from height.
We agreed to loan the team at Vetter a manikin for the duration of the show, as we were confident it would be a useful tool for this sort of demonstration, as well as being a great demonstration of our Duty manikin’s durability!
The team at Vetter were so pleased with the dummy, that they bought the manikin there and then, so that they could take him back to Germany for further demonstrations!
Marco Pannhausen, Market Manager at Vetter said,
“I have sent some photos of the safety cushion test with your great manikin! In general we are testing EVERY manufactured safety cushion with a dropping test. Though we are using a weight ball, the manikin enables us to show even better how our cushion reacts when somebody would jump in to it.”
We are glad the manikin is being put to good use – this video demonstrates just how tough the Duty Range is!
