Our manikins are often used by rescue teams to practise various scenarios as part of their training… but they are also popular with specialist training providers too, who provide courses in more technical rescue.
We are pleased to supply manikins to Lyon Work & Rescue who are based in Cumbria and are a leading provider of training and equipment for working at height or rescues from vertical, steep and difficult-to-access areas. Recently they completed training at Kiers’ Greenburn Surface Mine and sent the following feedback on our manikin;
“Our Ruth Lee Rescue dummy, nick named “Bruce”, took the role of an incapacitated driver requiring medical treatment, during heavy plant recovery training taking place 6m up in Kiers’ Greenburn surface mine.
Once packaged into a confined space rescue stretcher, “Bruce” was then lifted and lowered by a neighbouring machine to an awaiting ambulance. It is an excellent training exercise for our customers and the manikin provides a realistic ‘casualty’ for our training.”
