We work hard and want all staff to share our success as we grow. Ruth Lee Ltd offer a competitive basic salary for both office and factory staff, which is in keeping with the Living Wage and benchmarked regularly to remain competitive.

Bonus

As a growing business, Ruth Lee Ltd aims to reward those who make it happen – the whole team! There is therefore a company-wide bonus scheme. We believe in sharing our success with our employees. This is specific to your job function and details of a specific bonus scheme will be discussed at interview. It also means that you’ll get the odd box of chocolates, bottle of wine, or invitation to a staff ‘do’ to celebrate particular milestones and targets!

Life Insurance can offer a recognised way of providing financial help and reassurance to an employee’s dependents if the worst was to happen. The policy will provide 3 x your basic annual salary cover, valid up to state pension age.

Holiday Allowance

Work / life balance is very important that therefore, all employees receive paid Holiday Allowance, plus Bank Holidays. We have a Christmas shutdown and request 5 days are reserved to cover this period.

Pension Scheme

Staff are automatically enrolled onto our Pension Scheme which is managed by the People’s Pension.

Free Parking

If you’ve ever lived and worked in the city – the prospect of free parking on site will no doubt be a big plus point! The fact that it just happens to be in a beautiful landscape is a bonus!

Training and Development

All staff complete induction training within their area of the business when they join Ruth Lee Ltd. This is tailored to your specific job role. Bi-annual appraisals let you keep track of your progression and we offer opportunities for professional development when possible.

Social Responsibility

We are committed to helping the communities we serve and maintain three social commitment projects at a local, national and international level. All staff are welcome and encouraged to be part of these programmes and to suggest ideas for various projects we can support.

Free tea, coffee and fresh fruit

We are big tea drinkers here! But if coffee is your preferred tipple, we can offer that in abundance too. Factory workers enjoy two 15 minute tea breaks, as well as half hour lunch breaks. Tea and Coffee is provided, and there is a fresh fruit delivery each week. All of which you can enjoy free of charge. After all, “an apple a day…”

A Family Business

As a family business we have a culture of inclusivity and support. Many of our staff have worked here for more than 10 years and we have regular social ‘team’ events and a Christmas party, of course!

Location

We have two sites in beautiful North Wales and not everyone can boast such a lovely commute! Our Head Office is in Glyndyfrdwy, which is a small village with garage, a nearby café and stunning views. The towns of Llangollen and Corwen, with supermarkets, Post Office, banks and other amenities are less than 10 minutes’ drive down the A5. Ample free parking is provided on our own car park. The main factory is in the town of Corwen, which is a thriving small town with all local amenities. Free parking is available on a large car park at the rear of the factory.

Award Winners!

In 2018 we won the award for “Welsh Exporter of the Year” at the Daily Post Business Awards. All the team were invited to attend the prestigious ceremony which was held at Bangor University. Then in 2019, Ruth Lee Ltd were named “International Business of the Year” at the Federation of Small Business (FSB) Welsh Regional Awards. Seems like we are on a bit of a roll with these awards!
