Back in January 2017, we ran a social media competition where 5 lucky winners would win a Ruth Lee Training Manikin.
One of the winners, Christian Brown selected a 70kg Multi Trauma Manikin to enhance and develop the training for Cornwall based Ambulance, Fire, Coast Guard and Lifeboat teams. We were thrilled that the prize was put to such good use and benefited many people with their training.
“Our Ruth Lee multi-trauma manikin is being used as a community training tool. It is available for use by any one of the emergency and volunteer services in Cornwall, including RNLI, Coast Guard, Cornwall Fire and Rescue, Cornwall Air Ambulance, South Western Ambulance Service, and our own Front Line Emergency Equipment Trust charity, Fleet, who provide public access defibrillators and support medical staff with training in pre-hospital emergency care.
We have some multi-agency training sessions planned in the near future and will send you some photos of the manikin in action.
Thanks again for such an extremely valuable piece of training equipment.” Christian Brown – Fleet (www.fleet.org.uk)
