On Thursday 22nd July, we were pleased to welcome the Lord Lieutenant of Clwyd to our North Wales Head Office, who visited us to officially present the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.
We found out that we had been awarded this prestigious accolade on Tuesday 21 April 2020, during the pandemic, and we were recognised for our excellence in International Trade, specifically, for Outstanding Short-Term Growth in overseas sales over the last three years.
We currently employ 32 people and after starting up in the early 90s, we have since gone on to become a world leader in the design and manufacture of training manikins for industries such as the emergency services, armed forces, lifeguards, maritime and health and social care.
Exports represent 70% of our total business and this is growing over-proportionately year-on-year. We currently sell to more than 50 countries, through a network of more than 40 distributors and have sent manikins to every continent on the planet!

“We were thrilled to welcome the Queen’s official representative, The Lord Lieutenant of Clwyd to our Head Office in Glyndyfrdwy. Many of our staff were able to gather outside the premises to witness the official presentation which included the reading of a scroll from Her Majesty the Queen.
The Pandemic has been a challenge for us all, though it has presented us with unexpected opportunities because our manikins provide teams with a safer way to train which maintains safer social distancing. We work with a fantastic network of Distributors across the world to supply manikins to organisations dedicated to improving their safety and training standards. We must thank them for their continued dedication to training.
