The team at Ruth Lee Ltd are celebrating, as our growth in international markets acknowledged and celebrated at the Daily Post Business Awards 2018.
The Daily Post Business Awards celebrate outstanding businesses in North Wales. on 29th November 2018, at a glittering awards ceremony held at Bangor University, we were delighted to be presented with an award for our achievements in export.
In recent years, demand for our extensive range of rescue training manikins has grown world-wide, to the extent that we now export 70% of production abroad. In the past two years alone, the export business has grown by 75% and Ruth Lee Ltd now exports to all corners of the globe including North and South America, Australia, many European countries, the Middle East and several Asian countries.
Managing Director, Paul McDonnell said,
“After many years working with the UK’s Fire and Rescue Service to develop manikins fit for the rigours of the industry, we were thrilled to have our considerable growth in international markets recognised at the Business Awards.
It was an honour to be part of such a prestigious ceremony which recognised some truly outstanding businesses across North Wales. We feel honoured to be counted amongst these, and privileged to be named Welsh Exporter of the Year.
We work with a fantastic network of Distributors across the globe to supply manikins to countless rescue organisations, including fire and rescue services. It is very encouraging to see that other countries are following the UK’s lead when it comes to rescue training and investing in equipment which helps them to train more effectively.
Thank you to all our customers who have continued to support us over the years – your feedback is an essential factor in our success in developing manikins which are valued across the world.”
