Sometimes, rescuers need a fast deployment to ensure the best possible outcome for someone in peril in the water. Our unmanned surface vessel, FReD is the ideal solution when the person awaiting rescue is too far for a throwline and needs swift assistance (without the delay of launching a crew in an IRB or similar).

FReD is a remote-control operated life buoy that is perfect for a range of teams such as lifeguards (including beach lifeguards), Open Water Swimming sites, Docks and Harbours, SAR Teams whose area includes open water, commercial shipping, leisure boating and cruise ships.

It is a powerful device that can be used in a wide range of conditions including swift-moving water and waves up to 3m. With an industry-leading range of up to 1,000m, the FReD means that you can quickly and safely carry out a rescue without risking a rescue swimmer.
